The Drifter is designed by myself, Mark Harwood. I created "The Drifter" to be a versatile cottage craft to respond to sail or a small outboard. The 100lb hull is reminiscent of the popular Acorn (designed by Iain Oughtred) but has a wider aft section for additional stability. This naturally compromises her rowing ability slightly, but it makes her more stable under a press of sail, as well as enabling her to handle more weight despite her shorter length.

The "Sail Package" includes our standard white sail, mast, rigging, rudder, dagger board & tiller. Everything you need to sail. Other sail colours are available at an extra cost.
The sail package is a lug sail design. One line to set & one line to control the sail. Simple & satisfying. Our sails are made from Dacron and made by the renowned sailmaker, Douglas Fowler of Ithaca, New York.
